Locking wheel nut key

  1. #1
    Hey
I've only had my VTR a couple of weeks, and I've just discovered that the bloke I bought it from neglected to tell me the locking wheel nut key was missing.
Citroen say one will cost 40 quid, so I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a cheaper alternative.

Loving the VTR by the way.

Happened to me on my partners fiesta. Tried the smaller socket trick and it didnt work lol

You need a external extractor set.....you can buy them from all good tool shops.

I bought these, ebay item number: 120371955713

They did the job with ease...then i bought a new set of locking wheel nuts for like £15.

They are a veryyyyy useful tool

think he means what size socket

i use an 18mm to do it
had to do it a few times now on various cars including 2 of my own that came minus a key

only failed ones and then i just got a 17mm and a bigger hammer to really force it on

reminds me i still need to try and get that back out my socket lol!
