was sick of the way the rusted old rocker cover looked, and decided to buy another one, paint it black and blue (colour coded) and put it in.
however, when trying to put the rocker cover on, i couldnt get these kind of bolt sleeve spacer things to fit over the bolt that comes up from the engine
il try and explain what i mean
after taking off the rocker cover there is, from top to bottom
---rocker cover---
--these 2 sleeve spacer things--
--a metal shield--
the engine (all the cams etc.)
anyone whos ever changed a gasket or had the rocker cover off know if these things are inportant?
iv included a picture of what they are, as im not sure of a name
