Won't give error code?

   Anybody know whats wrong if it won't give an error code, its an mk2 1.1 first and has been on 4 different scanners no body can get an error code to fix it? The car won't go past 3000rpm either
   If anyone can help you'll be a life saver

   cant always get an error code from a machine thats why mechanical knowledge will never be overcome by computers
   
   sounds like its in a limp mode, it coul;d be the ECU at fault or even a sensor

   any idea which sensor or what could be up with the ecu?

   airflow sensor on the throttle body is a maybe and common one
   
   does it sound like its misfiring??

   doesn't sound as it's miss firing sounds normal just won't go over 3000rpm i'll go get another one are they expensive and where's best place to get one?

   thing is i cant guarantee its going to be that but its common problem and might just work, unless you can get one from a mate to try it before you buy one

   hmm would one off a 1.6 vtr be the same? only other person i know with a saxo?

   i dont think they differed across the saxo range so it might work mate

    right checked that air flow meter and it isn't that any other ideas could it be that the ECU is nakerd and can it be a straight swap woth another one from a 1.1?
