Since buying my saxo vtr last may I have had noise coming from my o/s/f wheel after ive been doing motorway driving for a few hours. It was an itermitant thing that only happend once in a blue moon.
But I fitted a new gearbox in my saxo vtr about a month ago and last friday and thursday my squiling noise has become pretty much permanant.
It begins about 5 - 10 mins into my drive when im doing between 50 - 60mph. If I slow down to about 30mph the noise is still there then stops. When I pick up speed it doesnt make any noise but once i ease off the throttle it starts making the noise.
Also doesnt matter if im turning or not.
I think that its either a drivers driveshaft or bearing. I have looked and inspected the driveshaft when i had the driveshaft out when I changed the gearbox and also the other say and there is no sign of a ripped CV boot.
Its doing my head in because im driving 80miles a day.
Any help or advice please
