new gearbox problem... update !!!!!

   hiya, i started a thread yesterday that kinda made no sense (lol sorry).
   
   well heres the version that dos make sense( i hope).
   
   ive changed the gearbox and put a new clutch into my 1.4,
   the gearbox come out of a 1.1
   
   on test driving it yesterday, i found that it was hard to get it into first.
   well today while driving it, it has now started jumping out of 2nd gear,
   all the other gears seem fine so far.
   
   i never changed the gear selectors,
   if i changed them, would it stop it jumping out of gear, or is there something else that could be wrong.

   how is it a short shift one?
   
   You can't buy a short shift gearbox - you can buy a standard gearbox and fit a short shift within the linkages?

   lol, i knw someone was gonna say that, you can tell i dont really knw lol.
   
   well the old gearbox seemed to go a long way over to get into gear,
   and now the new one dosnt.

   sounds like a gearbox problem as opposed to be anything else?
   
   If the linkages are 100% on correctly, and the gearbox is mounted 100% correctly, then the gearbox you've fitted doesn't sound very healthy?
   
   It shouldn't pop out of 2nd.
   
   The saxo boxes can be a bit tight to get into first when the oil is cold, but shouldn't be too hard once it's all upto temp

   if its popping outa 2nd gear.. then youve got internal gearbox problems.. worn syncro perhaps

   great, not the news i wanted...
   the lad that put it back together for me, had bent the gear selectors, he had to straight them on a vice, ( i knw not good, but i didnt find out till i went there moaning),
   
   the gearbox isnt making any rattles or noises,
   ^^^ do you think the above couls be a problem.

   Does it come out of 2nd when your turning or when driving straight?

    forgot to add, its limiting at 5000 revs, not done this before either, dont know if it helps but thought i better add that too,

    no it hasnt yet, but tbh i have only drove it 25miles since i changed it, didnt wanna chance making the problem worse.

    me and a mate have jus put 1.1s in are vts ,es the old one kept jumping out of fith gear and then totaly fucked so you mite have a bad box also one of ares has sum sort of a short shift put nowt to to with the gearbox it on the linkages.

    i thought instead making a new thread ill just update this one.
    well you know my cars jumping out of 2nd gear, and we have worked out its the selecto thingy inside the box lol, im waiting on a new box to change it, but until then heres a question.
    
    you know the gear linkage thing, i noticed that when i go into 2nd or reverse it catches on the exhaust.
    i have tried everything to move it out the way but nothings happening.
    anyone any ideas.
