Reves go up?

Hi i have an anoying prob with the revs going up slightly around 500rpm every time i put the clutch down to change gear, this only starts to happen when engine is warm and been driven for a while, this is not the throttle cable as i have checked this and everthing i can think of hence this post! this even happens if you lift and depress clutch wilst in gear on idle without touching the throttle? it idles fine just a little lumpy, but reves up and down ok untill you put it in gear and drive? Can anyone help? Thanks!

idle control valve.unplug it and adjust it with the screw or get a new one..

Is that the one on top of the throttle housing ? do you remove it to adjust it ?

theres a plug at the back of it.You adjust with the screw on the front.I wouldnt recomend it aas a long term thing mind, itll do until you get a ew icv tho.

is it ticking over?just adjust the screw in or out accordingly to get the idle right. It wont be as good a normal but works as a temrorary measure and will stop it from sticking and causing the revs to climb..
