As title really.. ive searched but no clear answers..

the nice garage have dropped my ecu and now the car is off the road AGAIN!

they are paying for new one, but they 'reckon' that they can only get a saxo vts ecu and i am intrested weather it fits?

Also, when fitting new ecu to my car do i need to take the immoblizer box off? befor i connent ecu? i shall be getting unlocked ecu..

If the ECU is unlocked then yes you need the immobilisor box unplugged or it will lock up again.

A VTS ECU will fit, as its only managing the same engine as a VTS.

The looms connection to the interior loom can be different between GTI and VTS though.

Okay cheers, does it matter if the loom is different? the ecu will still run everything on the gti tho wont it :|?

The GTI and VTS engine is the same, they will have the same looms as they have the same sensors on the ECU side. The only difference will be the interior loom connection. Sometimes they have 2 plugs sometimes they just have a different plug.
