saxo 1.1 rear drums question

   what it is iv got a 1.1 and just wont to no can you put rear dics on a 1.1 without changing the rear axel is it possible??

   iirc it is possible. but alot of hassle.

   i done it to mine as my axle is rusted in place for extra stiffness lol

   not loads i cant really remeber, i bought another axle and was guna just swap it over so i had all the bits which made it easier i think

   so a vtr rear axle will fit on to a 1.1?
   dont suposes you know roughly how much a garage would charge to fit a vtr rear axle to me 1.1do you?

   not sure to be honest depends how easy it is to get the old one off i spose but ye all the axles are interchangeable

   tbh fitting an axle isnt the hardest thing in the world. iirc its 4 bolts to take it off, then a case of bleeding the brakes when the new ones fitted

    if its not rusted to the bottom of the car like mine was

    It would be easier to change the whole axle. Plus a VT* axle is alot better than a 1.1 axle so it's a win/win situation if you change the whole thing.
