gear nob and pedals

   right now my car has an after market gearnob which is very tacky and i hate it was wondering can i just remove it and refit a standard saxo one or? will they have removed something to fit the aftermarket one?
   
   and also the pedals if i unscrew them would i be able to refit the OE ones if so how would i go about it what would i need? rubber pedals but would i need like the plastic behind the rubber or?

   Firstly give the gearnob a twist to see if it comes off. If no joy, put the gear stick into reverse, get in the back seats and give it a good pull. If there is still a white plastic tip on top of the gearstick, its just a case of poppin a standard gear nob on it.
