Engine thermo light keeps cumming on.

   after driving my saxo for a while and i mean like 10/15 mins the gauge slowly goes upto red and the warning light comes on. any clue what the problems would be,?

   Have you checked coolant level? They maybe a air blockage causing it not to move. Sensor might not be reading right.
   
   Two options that I am not sure would have this symptom might be thermostat not opening or water pump failure. Get a second opinion on these as I have no idea what would happen if either were to fail.
   
   I would try rebleeding the coolant system before anything tho.

   Bleed the coolant system, sounds like an airlock...
   
   if that fails, check the thermostat..

   Happened to me in january
   try what the others are saying cause it helped mine
   until..
   check for oil in the water and water in the oil could be the headgasket...
   exactly what mine done
   
   but when driving put your heaters on full helps a little.

   yes mate would get it sorted before driving it more aas you could warp your HG. anyways check all bleed screws are done up and bleed the radiator properly. just follow these guys theyve got the answer in before me
