What do people think i should do. i want my bonnet to compliment the rest of the car should i get a dimma grill smooth over the grill badboy etc. What do you thinks?

ive heard of cracking when the grill is smoothed in

but the dimma on its own should look good?

I reckon this looks spot on!

YEH that looks awesome ! nice thats exactly what im looking for
How much would that cost me?
  6. #6
colour code your mesh for starters mate, to black, it would look a whole lot better, then just get a dimma grill, spot on.

nah i like the silver mate i really like that grill though its not ott or anything its just right
  8. #8
I cant remeber what member it is mate - but its nice like!

    heres a few more

won't cost a lot - just a case of cutting a bit of metal away, filling and flattening... then spraying!

depending on the body shop - £60-80 ish maybe

where are you getting the picture from bud maybe that may help?
  11. #11
I duno - I saved it a long time ago!
  12. #12
wow i got quoted for something a bit like that it was to actually take a out the plastic grill then smooth the make a metal from to be smoothed in it ended up at around £550
So do i need to get a dimma grill and get them to smooth it into the bonnet?
  13. #13
that looks sweet - definitely worth a look into mate
  14. #14
Yep, very nice that, I would go for that instead of a badboy etc.
  15. #15
I think and grill without the spars in the middle would do the job...

Might be worth printing one of the pictures off and taking it to a bodyshop to show them what you want!

They might even be able to do it without respraying the whole bonnet...so even cheaper!

This is Oz's bonnet (ignore all the arrows etc) - but you can see all the stuff you need to remove and fill and flush.

like you say Joe, not a huge job but makes a striking difference
