Sorry if this is in other threads but i have searched and thread but still in need of reasurance and more info as i couldnt find enough bout this problem

their is a funny, squeaking, squealing noise comming from alternator, cambelt area on my vts, at first i thought just the alternator belt but whenever ive had this problem on other cars its just been when ive first started the car and set off this time it seems to be whilst driving around and constantly making the noise and getting fainter as i deaccelerate i worry if its the cambelt as it gradually getting worse.... you guys have any ideas.

if it is that the cambelt needs changing, whats the usual price to change cambelt on a saxo.

Try putting talcum powder on the belt first pal, if no success get the belt changed, it is about 1/2 hours labour, but obviously every garage charges diffrent for labour and where you live but i recon maybe £70ish , hope this helps

Make sure its running the air movement from the belts will suck the talcum powder up. Try it, if no luck just get it checked and serviced if need be pal

It wont be the Driveshaft if its still making the noise once stationary.
