inner cv joint boot?

   whilst changing my engine yesterday my mate somehow managed to pull about a quarter of my inner cv joint boot off, is it still safe to drive for a little while? thanks

   it will throw the grease out all over the place which will not only make a mess but will run the joint dry and nacker it
   
   best to get a new boot but you need to take the outer one off to fit the inner

   yh i thought so do you know if they are easy to fit? i found the outer one relitivly easy, jsut hopeing outer is the same, the boot isnt split, its just been pulled off slightly
