jumping outa 5th gear

   hi peeps
   my 99 vts has started jumping outa 5th when i ease off the accelerator pedal. the linkage seems free and selecting all gears is no problem.
   
   anyone know the prob?

   Could be a worn transmission rod, syncromesh or worn/old gear linkage. Hoping this help

   Drain the fluid and pop the end cover off - 5th is right there so could quickly check it our
