iv just put a new engine in and it goes really well, but only when i accelerate it make a really annoying tapping sound what could this be? when i take my foot off it stops,

Tappets - in other words you Valves need re timing, Take it to a garage they'll charge Tenner to time them

i doubt its the tappets as it would constantly do it regardless of if im accelerating or not, it only happens when i accelerate

Sure its not the bottom end of the engine gone? Cant remember how it works, you'll have to search (lolz that rhymes)

sounds like piston slap to me, is it worse when its cold? Nothing you can do about it except ask for your money back
ye engine taps a pig, just found out myne might have it :@ been advised to remove belt covers and check water pump bearings and make sure its all nice and solid as that can cause issuse with the cam!!
