Important! : fuel pump relay

   hi
   my daughter bought a 2000 Wreg vtr off her X boyfriend with starting problems,
   wud turn ova but not fire up!
   ECU unlocked, yes!
   imobiliser removed, yes!
   fuel pump replaced,! yes!
   fuel pump relay replaced, yes with 2 but were from a scrapyard n all clicked!
   fuel pump still wont prime!
   ran a direct live to fuel pump n car starts 1st time but wont run wen direct live removed!
   cud i have 3 dud relays or is there something i am missing?
   PLEASE HELP

   Might sound a bit daft, but have you checked the fuse ? I believe it is in the engine bay area by the passenger side wheel . They are in a black plastic box. Hope this sorts your problem

   check your relay and fuses.........

   theres a 10amp fuse in your engine fuses that controls your fuel pump

   fuses r great but unsure if relay is gud, replacements r clicking but still no joy.

    thanks 4 all ur advise but still cudnt resolve the problem
    so i have wired the fuel pump direct to the aux live on the main ignition and is workin n drivein perfectly now

    hi need to find fault as wiring direct not safe sounds like you may have bypassed inertia switch.

    thanks, will luk into that as av since found out car bin in a bump n wing replaced on drivers side so maybe broken wire?

    I had the same problem and I just ran a live inside the fuel pump from the fuel pump to the injector live and that works a treat
