clicking from brakes?? help needed

   i have a saxo and if im moving or even stopped and i slowly but my foot on the brake it starts to click and feels like the pedal is clicking aswell. what could this be? i dont think the pads are amazing on the car could this be part of the problem? i think if something to do with the calipers or pads but not sure. Any ideas anyone

   have you been doing long journeys before this happens ?

   nah not really. i havent had the car ages but it seems to do it most of the time
