Front knocking and steering wheel not straight

  1. #1
I have a knock comming from the front of the car only when you turn the wheel, it doesn't happen simply when driving straight. I no it could be track rod end/droplink etc.., but the steering also doesn't sit straight, it sits turned to the right a bit and you have to keep it like this to drive straight.

So are the two problems connected and what are the likely to be?

    Cheers

Just been having a look and thought i would tighten the big nut on top of the strut under the bonnet on the passenger side. When i went to do this i found the nut just keeps turning and never gets tight. What could this be??

in the middle of the nut is a torx bit,

you have to mole grip the socket put the torx in the middle then tighten against the torx bit.

Also very much doubt that the top mount nut needs tightening, most likely to be your droplinks all the pot holes now have worn mine out !

Just come in from replacing mine, also maybe do your track rod ends thats next weeks job for me !

Don't know if I'm right but with your steering and knocking I'd get the tracking looked at....
