i have placed my battery in the boot and i want to fuse it to be safe.
    the cable strengh is 135amp

so what amp fuse will i need?

Only way to find out is to know the current draw. The starter motor will be the highest power user. You might be abkle to loan a "clamp on ammeter" which, as the name suggests clamps around the wire and measures current draw.

Another way, though not as scientific would be to fit say a 100 amp fuse and see if it blows, if so go up a rating. I remember old 80-90's cars often had a fuseable link in the main battery live. perhaps google might throw something up on these?

I wonder what citroen use as standard protection? If you find out could you use that in your new circuit?

Sorry I am not much use here but hope I have given you some ideas.

    yeh i think i understand

i herd somewhere a normal citreon runs on 135amp

so iv brought some 135amp cable and i have just purchased a 140amp fuse and a
150amp fuse and also i have brough a digital fuse block which tells me the readings of power running through.

hopefully this should shed some light

the AA guys have the clamp around cable type amp meters! flatten your battery and give them a call
presuming you have AA cover ofc
