Where to start.?.

First thread, new to this saxo thing..

Just got my first saxo vts, picking it up on sat.. I know it has an aftermarket exhaust and upgraded brakes but thats it, the seller doesn't know what make they are(its a dealer)

Anyways, whats the best route to go as regards performance.. Budget is about £1000 max..

I figure starting off with an induction kit, new manifold n exhaust n then new cams... Then get it re-mapped?? Any advice on this and also and advice on what exactly to get??

Also, off topic(engine wise) what drop would u recomend handling wise?? Gonna be keeping it on the std wheels..

Well i want to get these wheels instead.. but thats down the line..

Then engine mod plans sound good mate, I would say get a green cotton enclosed induction kit, and a supersprint 4-2-1 manifold

. I love you car mate, I am also after A silver vts. what did you pay for that mate?

best bet mate have a look for second hand parts as in exhaust and manifold as stainless steel.could also include de-cat. green enclosed as said. lowering 30-35mm but thats on full kit not just springs. theres about your grand then.

Looking at a de-cat pipe on e-bay.. There's a manifold on there too but dont think i can afford it at the mo.. Will prob pick up the green induction kit first(cause i get em at cost ;-p)

Intend on getting a full suspension set up... I want a car thats damn fun to drive.. been driving a micra n a sunny for the past year, its driving me mad!!

are you sure its a vts? those are vtr wheels and it looks like it has an aftermark exhaust from that pic also no mirror caps or rear spoiler?? have you had it checked?? although the seats do have rear headrests very confusing!!

those are vts wheels. MK1 vts' and vtr' shared wheels

Its coming from a dealer so im assuming he's telling the truth, otherwise i'll be well pissed.. He says its a VTS on the V5 n MOT.. Must look into it..

Atually been looking at a few '97 saxos n none of them have mirror caps n they all seem to have different spoilers so im assuming they weren't std at the time..

no it aint! even the vtr when i put my foot down i cant stop grinning! bring on my vts conversion!!!!
