Colour my exhaust (now with example pics)

Would it be possible to get my exhaust powdercoated a colour to match car?
Im thinkin about gettin my exhaust exit coloured Kawasaki racing green to match rims and front grill.

Will this work? As the exhasut exit obviously become hot so would this effect the powdercoating at all?

I think it can be done as piwdercoating is dried by putting it in an extremely hot oven.

True, iv only read one thread about this and they mentioned ceramic coating? not to sure what this is. Only reason i ask is if it is done its done in black, was wondering if this is because of the heat and gasses combined from the exhaust exit would turn the green tip black? I want this for show purposes so it i want it looking nice and green if you get me?
  4. #4
if you manage to do it post up some pictures matee?
  5. #5
sort of the same thing, i had a bike and sprayed teh exhaust black on that, you can get high temperature paint at halfords even...

could use exhaust paint, not sure whether it comes in colours thoo

Will be a bitch to keep clean, you will have a tough job removing all the crap from the exhaust that gets burnt onto the surface.
  9. #9
Why would you want to powder coat your zorst?
    Gay idea imo

It will be a bich to keep clean

ceramic coating is the way to go

ceramic coating from manifold to past centre section may give performance gains though

Might do, one reason i asked i guess
Gay idea eh? gay is calling an exhaust a Zorst...ur so cool
Reason behind this is im loosing the rear boot badges so looks smoother, so instead im looking for something on the back to add a little extra, plus i have seen this done and i thought it looked pretty sweet

Dont u reckon that would look a bit bland tho? hmmmm
Reason behind this i would remove the badges so that back end would seem a little bland, hence the idea of having the exhaust ceramic coated.
If im honest im liking it, its different. End of day if it looks shit ill have it done again to black or something.

    Cheers for input ppl

as you said, I'm not a fan as it would be too much for me personally...but your car, your choice. i think it will look less in your face when done...

if you do it post pics as I'm intrigued in seeing the outcome
