vts missing badly

   i bought a s reg vts about 4 months ago and its started missing quite badly somebody said hgf but it not overheating or losing oil and doesnt always do it sometimes its fine anyone got any ideas would be appreciated

   Probably be on the ignition system check the spark plugs , coil pack maybe. Check the wiring to the coil pack, no corrosion or breaks.

   ok thank you i done plugs think i gunna have to do coil pack i think is there any possibility could be the head gasket thank you for replying

    does anyone know how much and best place for a coil pack just hope if buy 1 and that is the problem

    no mate the car has lost no oil or water while i had it just this missing problem which is annoying

    had this few times on me 52 reg vts.........worn out coil pack......

    it looks like someone tried to get coil pack out cos they rounded all bolts off so i try get it out are they expensive mate

    dont come cheap if you buy from citreon dealer...........

    i just hope if i buy 1 that this is the fault and all this goes away and then i can start on the cosmetics of the car

    some times you have to buy service parts before you starting modding the car!! or when you have MOT it fails on lots of stuff mate..........then you end up with lots of paying out to do......

    i just want to get it running right then will get full service it had 12 months mot when i bought it so got time to make sure that all ok

    i have tried the coil pack and had injectors off and my car is still the same please has anybody else got any other ideas cos i dont know i had it to garage and they told me injector

    same happened to my vts and once i changed the coil pack it was all sorted, but as you just said youve done this and still the same, so it doesnt do this all the time, could possibly be the lamba sensor on its way out

    not sure on this but would a dianostic test come up with any thing that needs replacing, i know the lamba sensor will as mine came out previously when it was on way out, but if its injectors then im sure it wont come up on a dianostic test though. only electrical faults

    also having this problem on my vts the car takes about 3 times of turning the key for a long time untill it starts it will drive a few miles fine but then will suddenly start to miss fire i then can only take it up to 3k any more and it doesnt sound or feel good it seems to me its when it warms up it starts to do it and when i am stationary the engine is rocking quite irraticly by what ive read on here im thinking of changing the coil pack first would anyone suggest otherwise?
