I've had a search through the forum and a lot of people have suggested looking on the door hinge area and engine bay but there is no sticker showing paints codes etc. It looks likje they'be been removed, is there any other way of finind out what colour of red the car is?

    99% of the time

    Flat - Venetian

    Metallic - (Pink) Wiked Red

If it's either you'd be better getting a bodyshop to match the colour for you as these fade particularly badly if not well looked after

Ood luck. If it's Venetian red a lot of the mk1 1.1s were that colour so shouldn't be too hard to get hold of one

It's not a sticker in the engine bay, well atleast it's not for me, there's a code above the passenger wheel arch. I dont know what it's called That's my useless load of help.

If worse comes to the worse, you could always give Citroen parts a call with your registration/chassis no. and they should be able to tell you.

check in the engine pay were the passenger side strut is, it isnt a sticker its printed on the chasis, so give it a good whipe down as it might be covered up by grime!

Should have a code on the inside of the door ( near the hinges) on a white sticker and check your manual etc

cheers for all the comments guys, I'll have another look just to make sure. Would be good if it was wicked red as there's a bonnet on ebay at the minute.

Thinking about it, I'm sure theres a number / code painted on top of the front suspension. When I get home I'll have a look and see what it says.

Steam cleaned the engine bay when I got home and its black letters on top of the suspension mount. Its EJXB so according to the colour code chart that's venetian red.... sound!! cheers guys
