screenwash squirter not working/smearing on windscreen

   The screenwash squirter on the passenger side of my vtr hasnt worked since I bought the car a couple of weeks ago. It also seems to drink alot of screenwash lol
   
   I must have put maybe 7 litres in it just over 2 weeks, is that normal?
   
   Any ideas on how to get it working?
   
   I bought a product called astonish glass and tile cleaner as someone over on detailingworld said that it worked like rain x (which Ive never used but know what its supposed to do) my windscreen wash smearing before I used it but I think its got worse, getting pretty glare from oncoming headlights so could do with some advice on how to sort it?
   
   Can you use a normal household glass cleaner on it?

   Aye, windolene or something is ace. Rain-x and similar are great first time, but once it gets tired and smeary it's an absolute b'stard to get off.
   
   Can't beat really clean windows though, makes it feel like a new car!

   Try cleaning the windows with white vinegar or Cif
   
   My passenger side washer has stopped squirting recently too. I forgot to take a look at weekend. Might just need a pin in the squirter.
   
   But if you're constantly filling it up without using the squirter then its leaking.

   I had a look and it was leaking, no wonder I was going through so much screenwash lol
   
   I managed to get the actual squirter off and soaked it in soapy water, I checked that screenwash was actually coming out of the pipe and it was so it must just be a simple blockage in the squirter, Im going to poke it with a needle and see if it works again in a minute.
   
   Also just cleaned my windows with a window cleaner so will hopefully be the end to my smearing problem.

   Yeah was going to say its most likely a leak, i tend to find as my level of liquid goes down in the jets the water tends to smell like vinegar im not sure if its like this in all saxo's but its a great little hint that works for me lol

   well it looks like I need a new pipe for my passenger side squirter.
   
   are these universal things or should I get one from Citroen?
