removing bonnet lining

   hey im tempted to remove the bonnet lining as mine is really tacky now and just unecicary i was just wondering if its a good idea asin does it hide engine sound? and does it stop heat passing to the outside paintwork so much? thanks

   It's DEFINITELY there to reduce noise. Not sure about heat tho.

   Just rip it out not really much different in engine noise trust me!

   as above only slight differance in noise but being honest sounds better without. makes no differance to heat, otherwise on hot hot days surely your paint work would react.

   im pretty sure my engine gets hotter thn what the sun does to my paintwork but yeah im pretty sure itl be fine so ile take it off. would it make the induction noise louder then?

   its a sound damper mate rip it off if u like it'l make the engine sound louder a bit is all
