what manifold is this?? (pic)

i bought this manifold and the bloke told me it was a janspeed 4-2-1 for a mk2 vtr but iv searched around and i can't find it for sale anywhere as i want to check the spec and the rrp as i think i might have paid too much

so does anybody know if this is made by janspeed?

its the same one i have i dont think its a janspeed think its a cheaper copy can get them off ebay for £156. pretty good for the money tbh specialy with you not needing to move the oil filter

yea he said i could keep the paper filter instead of changing it. iv heard they'r quite close to the filter housing and there is a chance it can melt so iv ordered some heat wrap

Janspeeds have the same setout as a raceland etc, not in two parts. Only difference is what theyre made from.

can anyone tell from the picture if it is mild or stainless as im unsure? there doesnt seem to be any signs of rust anywhere

my clearance looked ok. only prob they have and andymiller had this aswell is that you cant use the original washers as they foul on the welds but without them its still keept it tight with no blows. brand new im sure they are mild steel with black paint but it flakes off eventualy.

yea i noticed the top set of holes are really close to the welds. cheers for that tip

the lad wanted £150 for it at the start but i managed to knock him down abit. i paid far too much then for saying its second hand maybe even 3rd hand for all i know! + i had to buy the gasket where the 2 pipes meet that was £3.50 i still need 2 bolts aswell

yeah paid to much then. what gasket the one for the centre pipe to the down pipe or between the two parts of the manifold.

i went to an exhaust place to buy a gasket for between the two parts of the manifold but i also bought one for the centre pipe to downpipe (like a wire brush texture) and a saxo exhaust fitting kit (the bolts with the springs and cups) as mine are bent

i paid £160 for the manifold and a 106 gti leather rear bench so say the rear bench is worth around £40 i paid £120 for the mani
