rear caliper binding

   AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH help my left rear brake caliper is binding messing up my pads and discs
   
   its coming from the handbrake sticking on. the handbrake cable on the other side is broken could this be the problem ?
   
   how can i get around this without changing the hand brake cable just yet ?
