My MOT is up April 26th and im pretty sure (atm) that my car should get through ok apart from the exhaust system. My back box makes a high pitch whining sound when getting up to 4500rpm+ which im pretty sure is some sort of hole/crack in the back box. The mid section has all recently been replaced so i no for sure it isnt this part. The question i wanted to ask is, is it worth me getting a performance back box and then when i get more money get the rest of the system or should i just buy a standard back box and wait to get the full system in one. Hope youve understood what ive said lol.

#3as above it is personal preference, if you are aiming to get a performance exhaust in future then a backbox just now would be worthwhile

#4Yee i will be looking to add to the system when ive secured a job. What back box's should i be looking at for a more raspy tone rather than bassy? And also, the cheapest lol. Sorry i know this Q is asked so many times

#6What are the prices of a new supersprint back box and a used back box. Also, do they fit straight onto the standard mid pipe?
-
#7mostly do fit onto the standard. supersprints however look quite wank tbh smaller than standard. just a little gay peashooter that almost always looks out of place imo
sound nice though -
#8What are the tips like on the 'OMP group n' and 'Saxsport' back boxes and do these sound similar (raspy) to the supersprint? Also prices of the three if anyone knows (new and used).

#10Yes they sound similar to the SS and i believe they are both 2" like the ss race system, but you can get the saxsport in 3" if you want.Quote:What are the tips like on the 'OMP group n' and 'Saxsport' back boxes and do these sound similar (raspy) to the supersprint? Saxsport = Made by Scorpion and they are about £230
OMP Group N = Are not made any more, hard to come accross second hand £??
Clicky for Saxsport -
#11If you can get hold of an OMP, Do it! Nicest exhaust there is Imho.
-
#13£230 just for the back box? Bit out of my price range haha. Im being pushed towards the 3inch ashley comp box atm, its £88 from potn; going to try and find a second hand price first though. Anyone got just the ashley box fitted?Quote:Yes they sound similar to the SS and i believe they are both 2" like the ss race system, but you can get the saxsport in 3" if you want.

#14Ahh just clicked on the link and saw that its that price for full system. My bad lol

#16I would love to get the full system but no job=no money haha. Ive only got a bit of cash hanging around for repairs and as said on first post i need a new back box and tbh, dont want a boring standard replacement lol. You know of any good places that sell the ashley boxes? Cheapest ive seen so far is £88 on potn.
