Neon Switch

   Ryte, im thinking about putting some neons in my footwells (my choice to anyone that doesnt like them), i was just woundering if anyone knew where i could get a switch thats the same size as the lighter? also what size is the lighter?

   just wire them to the overhead light then when you open the door the light neon comes on etc

   just wire it into the back of the lighter... then they will come on when your lights are, and its dead simple to do...
   you'd be best off using 1 of those wiring blocks, cant remember what they're called, with screws on top to make connections, rather than soldering..
   
   cut both the neg + pos, and then wire your neons into the block, again, negative to neg-, pos+ to pos+.. and screw back up.. jobs a goodun

   Yhe i were gunna use one of those but i wanted to take the lighter out as a whole and replace it with something like a latching push switch....

   ahhh i know what you mean now sorry, my bad.. if you find 1 let me know because i dont use my lighter and would rather have a switch there..
   
   edit: might be worth taking the actual center console to maplins and sizing them up?

   just woundering, how do you actualy get the lighter out, ive had my center console off all nyte (respraying went wrong ) going to town 2mrw so if i can get it out before college ill try and pick up one

   you sprayed it with the lighter in? lol..
   
   erm, pull the black bulb holder off the clips on the back, can be a bit stiff so might need to use a screwdriver... then push the silver/metal bit of the lighter through the hole from the back.. then its a case of pushing the green plastic surround out at an angle from be back IIRC...

   yhe i got bored of tryina get it out n i thought fu*k it neva gunna use it lol, mine wont pop out, mite have to get the handy tool (hammer) out
