Hid Kit

Hi could anyone tell me what actual hid light kit i need for my saxo? i hear something about the hi & lo beem i need to check see if the lo beam stays on when i put main beam on? anybody tell me a straight anwser what i need etc. Thanks

All the kits that have a HID bulb that just fits in place of a halogen bulb are illegal to the letter of the law so it does not really matter what kit you go for. This link is worth a read http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/drs/hidheadlamps

If your just talking about passing a MOT you want a kit that is yellow to white in colour. Generally around 4000k colour is safest bet for MOT. Many kits come in odd colours that will fail a properly done MOT. It has to have both Hi and Lo beam in the bulb as both are requited to pass the MOT. It has to hold the low beam on when hi is actuated or has to be a sliding bulb that moves. As you can not have any dull or dark time from shifting from one to another. Then it also has to be aimed within the bulb test limits. General this will requite some sort of light cowling but even then many kits do fail. But even if you pass a MOT don't be under any illusion about legality or liability.
