rocker cover question

    When you take the rocker cover of the VTS engine and seal it and put back on do you have to torque the bolts up or just do them tight??

    torque them, they can be overtightened very easily as they don't need to be put on that tight. If you do over torque them sometimes the bolts shears/snaps mainly on the 8v's.

    i just do mine tight, the only thing i have ever torqued up in my life is head stretch bolts.

    Tighten them from the middle out i just do them up so they are tight by hand. Not over tight though. You should just be able to feel it

    thanks il do it at weekend then do you know if the JP4 rocker seals will fit on the J4 cover

    no they don't. j4's well require instant gasket if the o/e seals are damaged
