sun roof trouble

   This morning i stripped all the headlining out so it was just the bare sun roof from inside to try and find where the sun roof is leaking from. Its filling the roof console with water and leaks through the winding handle and interior light. I made sure the drains are clear and it made a bit of a difference but its still leaking. I had a look at the seal where the glass sits on whilst closed and it was quite stiff im assuming this is the problem. Im think new seal :/ Can anyone help me out on this one because i need to stop the leak sooner rather than later.

   Could be the problem. try putting some vaseline on it, that will rehydrate it, just stops it drying up giving it a better seal.
   
   If not take take the whole sunroof out, let it all dry out, Level out the guttering under the Drainage whole, seal with silicone/tiger seal around the edge of the sunroof trim. put backin

   you could undo the torx screws lift the outer stiff seal up then whack a load of sealant iunder it then tighten the torx screws up again then wipe all remaining residue off the roof

   Mine was getting in between the plastic sunroof surround and the roof itself.
   
   Then it was sitting in the gap until finally seeping through where the screws secure the sunroof in.
   
   To solve it I removed the sunroof by taking out these screws. And tilting it forward and lifting out.
   
   Cleaned up the area and seal. etc. Covered the existing seal with a nice thick bead of silicone. and refitted the sunroof.
   
   I also removed the existing seal and fitted a new silicone tape aswell as using silicone.
   
   It hasn't leaked since.
