how much to lower?

right iv got a mk1 1.1 and iv lowered the front 45mm, now i didnt want to go down too much as i live in a very rural area, the back hasnt been lowered as of yet but will do it friday, how much should i lower it by on the back, i want it lower than front, but i want it too look good and handle good, and how long does it roughly take to do a torsion bar that hasnt been touched since it was new?

    thanks

it will look a bit thick if its lower on the back than the front imo, if i were you id have the back slightly higher mate, go with 40mm drop on the back

i suppose i could do mate, i just think it looks really sweet with the back slightly lower, haha

i got a saxo vtr, its lowered 60mm on the front spax springs and was lowered on the back but damaged my axle and having a new one fitted but not lowered, how would i know how low to go on the back?

the car will have an aggressive stance with the back higher than the front. definately the way to go imo

i think it looks cack with the back higher, as the backs higher than the front as standard on most. i prefer it 'slightly' lower at the rear, not speedboat low but just an extra 5-10mm. I'd say do it 50mm at the back if your feeling adventurous or just do the same 45mm. my vtr is 40mm at the back and with a full car it looks about 100mm, and only just catches on very big bumps, think you'll be fine. unless by rural area you mean you go offroading

What about control, would a lowered front allow you to take corners faster?

if its a 5-10mm difference i doubt it will be noticeable. im 35mm front, 40 rear, handles fine

iv always liked the back lower, so seeing as iv got the front 45mm down im going to go 55mm down on the back and can anyone say roughly how long it will take? its never been touched so probs seized in there, and tips would be very helpfull thanks
