Electrical Problem - Draining Battery

   On a 106 GTI...
   
   Battery doesnt hold any charge.
   Buzzing sound underneath glovebox round fusebox area without ignition turned on
   Buzzing sound from Rear Tailgate
   Rear Demister does not work
   Wipers working at half power
   Heaters work but even without ignition which cant be right?
   
   Any thoughts - ive checked all the fuses, charged battery but problem still remains

   The buzzing is likely a faulty relay (central locking maybe by what you describe). Best replace that first
   You could also pull all your fuses (take a photo first so you know where to put them back). Then replace fuses one by one until the buzz noise starts, now you know what circuit the fault is on you might have a fighting chance.

   Sounds like a short on a relay to me too. Pull fuses one by one till you locate which fuse it is then take it from there.
