Electrics problem???

   driving back from work last night, as i slowed down to drive down my road, the dashboard went dead, the window wipers slowed down, and the headlights flickered. when i sped up again, all the problems described dissapeared. but when it came to slowing down and parking, they started again and the car almost went dead.
   
   im thinking this could be a battery problem??
   
   my car is a W Reg, 1.1 litre.
   
   luckily still covered by a 3 month garuntee from the dealer i brought it from.

   Seems the voltage is going low at low engine speed as if the alternator is not working properly. I would not expect the voltage to drop so low though as you battery should be as 12volts anyway. Only thing I can think is that your battery is dead and or the alternator is not working to it's full capacity - but surely the car would not start if that was the case?
   
   Puzzled, glad you got warranty, let us know what they say

   picking the car up today, the bloke at the garage said it was the light switch so thats been replaced.
