was driving alond and i lost my clutch and this really high pitched sqeeling noise started? when i lift up the clutch pedal the noise stops? clutch cable is still in 1 peice. anybody got any ideas whats up?

release bearing id imagine is fooked mate

sweet thought that myself, could it be put in wrong? me and one of my mates changed the gearbox a few days before this happened?

When you changed the box was it for a second hand one or was it after you replaced the clutch or something?
If it was a second hand one it might of just been a case of the bearing was on its way out.

second had one but the clutch and bearing have only covered about 2000 miles max. there was a bearing on the box aswel would he wrong bearing cause this? covered around 100miles with the new box before this happened

may also be the clutch fork lever

First thing is to take the box off and check the release bearing/clutch etc.
Make sure the release bearing is 'clicked' onto the clutch fork prongs
