Mot Fail

    Took the sax for its MOT today and it came back with a big list of things wrong

    Offside front lower suspension arm has excessive play in ball joint **Dangerous**
    Offside anti roll bar linkage has excessive play in ball joint
    Offside front lower suspension arm severely distorted
    Nearside and Offside brake pipe excessivly corroded
    Nearside inner rear (to front main) brake pipe excessivly corroded
    Front brake discs excessivly pitted

    How much to get all these fixed?

    ....alot should of asked the garage to of priced it all up for you then gone round a few garages n got a few other quotes

    I did mate he just shrugged and said i needed a specialist. Are we talking over 500?

    a specialist? .... take it you took it to somwhere like mr tyre or kwikfit tht specialise in tyres and exhuasts and that cause am sure most service and repair garages would do most of that for you... not sure on how much it would all tot up too ... can't see it been cheap though

    should be nowhere near £500!! £140 ish labour, if you source the parts then its just the cost of these on top

    nah mate he does up old vintage cars everybody said he was cheap.....kind of regret going there now lol

    id say ur lookin at about 3 to 4 hours labour (the garage i work at charge £39 an hour) and aprox £150 maybe for the parts, thats just an estimate from prices off the top of my head could be alot more of even abit less

    Ill have a look around garages tomorrow hopefully get it done for less than 300 then. Cheers for the help.
