Lowering amount

So I'm looking at lowering my furio, but I'm not sure which would be the best for handling/steering/perfomance etc.

It's pretty much standard car, with the kit on.
But i don't want it too low cos i don't like to slow too much for speed bumps..

^ should be a picture there but it aint loaded for me

35/40mm would suit what you require.

yeah id say 35/40mm that's what im gonna go for when i get round to it

70 mill lol be like a scalextrix thats what mine feels like hehe

mines 60mm and about 70/80mm on the back, but too low tbh, am considering in hiring it but cba
    idle would be 35mm/40mm

    handling and looks 45mm!

35/40mm is best for performance, and looks pretty good too tbh!

Also make sure you uprate the shocks at the same time, otherwise the back end will feel very scary when you hit a bump mid-bend

    This kit would be ideal..

as pretty much said, 30-40mm is the best for handling but I reckon 60/70 is nicest looking so depends which way you want to go.

Also the lower you go, driveshafts, drop links, track rod ends, wheel bearings and ball joints are gunna wear quicker.

This has been asked upteen times... ridiculous. If you have a search mate theres a thread with loads of saxos lowered at certain heights.

    30mm for handling
    50 mm for mint looks.

Height wise for handling is very much hypothetical (sp?)

Its all very well saying 30ish is better handling wise than say 60mm geometry wise but bear in mind that quality of parts will play much more of a factor handling wise

30mm springs, torsion bars done to match but leaving standard dampers on is still going to be pretty poor handling wise although itll look better.

If you come up with a budget its always easier to advise which bits will get the best value and performance for your money and also meet your expectations.

Either way id advise every time that if you're going to lower a car, just save the extra pennies and upgrade your dampers too.

Apex and SPax kits are very good quality for money, both of which supply kits for around £200 which is more than adequate for road use

between those 2 makers theres the option on 30mm or 50mm for APex and 40mm or 60mm for Spax. Both id recommend highly for the price
