does anyone eles if they floor it in second the sttering wheel moves about an inch left and you go left and have to steer a lil right to compensate lol so basicly torque steer just wondering or isit a sign driveshaft or gearbox fucked and i mean when your proper flooring it
vtr torque steer(dont laugh)

#1

#2Wheels might be out a bit, unbalanced I mean, does the car steer to the left a little when you take your hands off the wheel on a straight stretch of road?
-
#3Get your wheels balanced and your tracking checked.
-
#4it does go slightly to the left alittle but tracking is fine does unbalanced wheels cause this?
-
#5Yeep.
Just pop into a tyre and exhaust sorta garage and its a 5 minute job
-
#6ok then i didnt think unbalenced wheels did this i know they cause steerin shake but are u sure it causes steering pull
-
#7worn wishbone bushes can also cause this
-
#8does no one eles vtr pull left on hard acelerating then?
-
#9Check all the things mentioned above although this is a tendency anyway as the driveshafts are of unequal length. This is because one side is shorter than the other the short one is gonna get moving quicker thus pulling the car in that direction before the other side catches up.
-
#10pretty normal for front wheen drive car to do this
-
#11What are the most likely causes to make my car pull left tracking fine would it be driveshaft wishbone wheelbearin but makin no noise tracking is fine
-
#12I have the same thing! when I'm goin over 60mph my wrists almost shatter too. I'm gettin the car checked on everything on saturday morning but i think (hope) it's wheel balancing.
-
#13vtr's dont have enough power to torque steer
-
#14Rightttbhad a proper check and my drivers side top mount a bolt has sheeted would this be causing the pull on hard aceleration?
-
#15
-
#16Right well if I acelrate hard in second take hands off wheel over 4000rpm it pulls lefts so I rekon could be the top mount moving anyone eles had this
-
#17doubt its top mount, could be worn bushes, droplinks, track rod ends.
-
#18Well I've had new track rod ends and bushings look in gd nick so do drop links only thing is top mount it would effect the alignment at high torque a mechanic told me I can't see drop links making it pull either
-
#19Bump....
-
#20mine did this just before the gearbox went mate, could have been coincidence.
-
#21well geting the strut top done friday and will just have to see could be tracing or tires but id rather wait for the gearbox to blow lol did the new box fix the problem?
