Ignition / Immobiliser MAJOR ISSUES HELP!!

hi.
on saturday my key wouldnt turn in the ignition i have to call the RAC who disconnected the ignition, i went to a scrap yard and got another barrell and fitted it. I then went to a garage for them to sort the key and immobiliser out so they matched.. which they did and i thought all was well. i drove home. about ten mins later i started the car again all was fine , 30 mins later tho the car wont start the orange light on the dash is flicking on and off (square with a key) meaning the immobiliser hasnt been turned off,.... i dont get it one min it was fine then 30 mins later it wont start!!

Wat do i do now!! i had to leave my car at work tonight im going away this weekend.. i need my car!! HELP PLS...

Get yourself down to citreon and ordera Transponder Receiver, there about £20 i bought one the other day i had the same problem, basically if you look at the key barrel there is a black ring around it with the digits on which tell you what position they key is in. Inside that black ring is a copper coil which links the key transponder links to and then links with the ECU after a few years the copper coil breaks down. This is a 10 minute job to change there are 2 screws in the steering column cover and then you just unplug the black ring and slide it off slide the new one on and plug it in, no need to pair any keys up or anything.
