Quick question on 16v conversions

  1. #1
i have t reg 99 westcoast, ive bought a w reg 2000 16v engine. Ive confirmed with the seller its a single plug, but i believe its with the crossover loom? Is there any differences when plugging the 16v loom to my westy? and if so, what would have to be changed? thanks

will prob have the wrong engine loom - car loom connector

you'll have no prob selling that loom on here as they are pretty rare - get a single plug loom from a mk1

Update: the engine has arrived tonight, and by having a quick look it seems the same loom single connector to the cars internal loom like my original, and ecu is an exact match. Think ive been lucky here

I love Reading new projects/ see people having a go - good luck with the conversion. That'd bit is done tbh, you've just got to plug it in now.

    I did mate, i had:

    Engine (67k with receipts)
    Gearbox
    Loom
    Unlocked ECU
    421 Manifold
Enclosed induction kit, think its a simota not 100 percent tho. And with a green filter.
    Radiator
    Twin fan setup
    Front Struts
    Calipers and disks

Absoloutly everything for a conversion, and for a bargain price
