bike throttle bodies,

    right i am buying some bike bodies i havent bought any yet till i am 100% certain which set up i want, they will be used alongside a predator ecu on a vts engine

    gsxr 750,1000? or any others what you think

    sandy brown set up like 550 quid i think

    heard about bogg brothers making a kit and apparently its really cheap? do they comprimise on quality though? as sandy brown set up are well trusted and at the minute is my top choice

    does anybody know anywhere else that makes kits that peform and look well


    also one other question, the kits do they plug into the origional sensors or does the loom need modifying

    GSXR1000 are the best bet, K1-K4 type. Some of the 750s are ok too, but some aren't so it's more of a lottery! The design of the bodies changed year on year, so there are quite a few variations. Colin has made flanges for most of them.

    The main differences between our GSXR kit and simply buying a manifold are, solid mounted bodies, with a perfect join to the manifold (no joining hoses), revised throttle progression (makes them much more driveable), optimised trumpet design (makes a huge difference to the spread of power), injector pocket modification and adapters to take Pico injectors (in the TBs that don't already) and billet fuel regulator housing and clip on fuel line and servo pipe adapters.
    It is a kit. Buying just a manifold is cheaper, but not as comprehensive.

    right ive decided im sticking with yours and colins kit, when i buy it would you be able to fit it, or it as simple as bolting off the old inlet nd bolting this and plugging it in, and replacing the ecu with a predator ecu? its this that i am getting confused with as i am not very mechanicly inclined

    I haven't used the Predator as yet,you'd need to speak to Luthor about that aspect, the throttle pot wires need joining correctly. As far as the bodies go, when you receive the TB kit back from Colin, it's pretty straight forward, if you're able to un-bolt the old manifold, you should cope ok bolting this on! Make the seal with Loctite 5699, a new throttle cable is advisable, I can talk you through the rest as you do it if you need it.

    sandy -- can you confirm for me
    manifold kit +associated part =£550 inc vat?
    and then customer supplies own gsxr 1000 t/bodies to be fitted to your kit.
