Important! : Problems after wishbone fitting

   Just fitted 2 new wishbones on my standard vts, everything went fine but for some reason the front of the car seems to sit a little higher than before??? IS this a major problem? or do they need a little time to settle or something??

   Could just be that the new rear bushes are stiffer thus keeping the car sat a little higher... they'll probably bed in and return to the way it was soon enough.

   Ok thanks. I have also just taken the car out and the knock is still there. The car also still has a 'floating' feeling when driving and doesn't feel very solid.
   
   What else could be causing this? Maybe track rod ends?

   KNocking over bumps will be track rod ends or drop links.

   Still could be either as theyre both attached to the strut!
   
   Check the rubbers on the ball joints, only a 30second check!

   i had the same problem as you mate, i changed both suspension ball joints (n/s o/s)
   
   will cure the 'floating' (Y)

   by suspension ball joints are you referring to the ball joints in the wishbones?

    i think im going to get some track rod ends and droplinks off you tom but i need to wait until i check my bank balance as ive spent shit loads recently lol. Is this all there is to a track rod end then just a balljoint?

    yeh i no im not gettin them from there someone just sent me that link to tell me what i needed, ill get them off u when i got the money. How much for track rod ends and droplinks delivered? I spent all day doing those fucking wishbones and it wasn't even them, car feels exactly the same. but at least there new anyway i spose lol
