leading on from wheel balancing

ok took wheel to a diff gagrage today to have wheel re balanced after tire being put on again.
sorry to say i took it to kwik fit where a kid younger than myself said yea i'll balance it. came back to say i have put 105grm on to balance it cos its buckled. now i know the wheel wasnt; buckled yesturday when tire went on...so question is what force is needed to buckle a wheel. bearing in mind only drove car home hit small pot hole at max 20mph if not less wasn;t deep either.
i know kwik fit arent that good for advice but i didn;t see if he removed the original weights off wheel or weather he is just an idiot.
i'm in two minds as to weather to dive out of my way to another tire place to see if they agree?
    advise please

it depends where you hit it saw a wheel almost in two when a women hit a kurb at about 20 mph and ive seen a wheel perfectly fine after hitting a pot hole at 40 it reli does depend on hit jack your car up and spin the wheel and have a look a big buckle shuld be noticeable easily

well the pot hole i hit was like a crack in road, did bang. so presuming it didn;t do anything.
but also as u say if i span the wheel i;d see a buckle, which when i replaced wheel yesturday i didn;t see.
could it be if he hasn;t removed the original weight from the wheel before balancing it would say its buckled?

yea think i'll have too, i'll be right pissed off if wheel is actually buckled.

    another question.....

could a tire machine buckle a wheel?

    no a tyre machine couldnt

looked at wheel turned it round and def can;t see a buckle. could tire be put on inproper? or still be a weight problem.

if it needed 105g, the buckle should be noticable, or less noticable if there was a crack in teh alloy.
dont forget the balancing machine spins at 60mph . . . so would be easier to see on one of those than spinning by hand!

if i were you, i would of asked to have seen it being balanced!
i do work for kwik fit, and it shouldnt of been a problem in being able to do that.
