Coilover help??

  1. #1
Just fitted coilovers to the saxo and shocks to the rear,,, rear seem fine but the fronts seem to be knocking/banging when I go over bumps,, not big bump ,, can literaly be a join in the road going at 30mph.
It's like there bottoming out after an inch??
The noise is like if you hit a bad pot hole with the standard set-up.
I know the ride is going to be firm and I did expect that, when we checked them everything seems fine, there v-max and fronts adjust to 60mm..
Just wanting to know if this is normal as it seems a bit extreme to me if it is doing that with the road I was going down,,
any help or ideas would be apriciated.
    Cheers ..

Basically v-maxx coilovers are pretty shit and are too soft, most likely hitting the bumpstops.

    Anyway I can sort it??

either strip your coilovers down and make custom ones or buy a good branded set.

mods- i think there should be a warning placed on the suspension pages about this kit, too many members are buying them and finding out the hard way?

Been covered so many times, they can be made a semi-decent but need to be machined.

There is a warning/guide on here, saw it a month or two ago....try a quick search, Someone made it after getting fed up of people getting screwed/there unsafe!

they are terrible throw them away. The threads need welding to the strut which is likely what the knock bang is. Shock and springs are very very very soft. The top mounts dont work with the kit

As stated get rid. Awful kits and should be banned. Custom kit all the way. Let me know if you need a set building and I can sort them out
