Driving away and hit a pot hole was a big enough one but the car just cut out on me and it died away, nothing wrong with the battery cause its brand new and i left the car for a few mins then tried to start it a it will just keep ticking over, i got a tow down to my house and while getting towed i put the car into gear and it starts up but then i take it out of gear it dies away again..! Any ideas what could be wong?
    cheers

Its the inertia switch buddy. It basically turns the fuel pump off in an impact.

Under the bonnet by the passanger side suspesnion turret and brake master cylinder is like a red button....press it once and then try starting the car again.

Aye it worked cheers lads i only bought the car 2 days ago its my first saxo i think i need somethign called gear selector rods to stiffen the gearbox cause its moving an awful lot anyone know anything bout these?

gear linkages i think, mines the same, wobbly as fook, is it hard for you to select any gears?
  12. #12
reverse on mine is sometimes a pain in the ass to get in have to go into second then into reverse
  13. #13
yeah pure wobbly like the gear stick trying to jump out of the car but its no bother getting it into gear just annoying cause it puts the off off balance it wobbles that much, what to do to get it sorted?

check the bearings first, when i got my saxo they had disintagrated lol and there around a tenner to replace so a cheaper option
