i know this has been asked before but im just wanting to clear something up.

i hate the standard normal bulb colour,i like the more bluey or brighter white colour.

so if i was to acheve this what bulb do i buy. as some are on ebay for like £5 but the HID kits on the for sale section are £50.. so im abit lost as to what to get.

also do all the bulbs fit universally, or is it specific to each car.

    cheers

if you want the really ice white colour a hid kit is the way to go mate, halfords have the 'blue bulbs' they give off a whiter light than standard yellow ones but are nothing compared to hid's. no all bulbs aren't a universal fit, theres 2 common headlight bulbs a h4 ( 3 pin 60/55w) and a h7 (2 pin 55w)

I would post a link to a website I got mine from, www.car-mod-shop.co.uk/ , but it's under construction til March 1st. £8 for a pair of blue xenon bulbs. Put out a white light with a slight blue tinge. Alot whiter then other bulbs I've tried.

But these have quite alot less light output than standard bulbs so don't expect to be able to see any further than standards.

I was trying to avoid going the HID way and purchased the philips bulbs, they were better than standards but still yellow. So i ordered the HID kit in the for sale section and fitted it yesteday. Much better. Looks really good and was easier then i thought it would be to fit.
