why is my coolant sensor different?

   hi i have a 53 plate vts and have ordered a new coolant sensor (the green one) its come and its a different fitting to the one already fitted. it fits the thread in the block but the plug on the loom is a different fitting also the sensor fitted at the moment the bolt head part is green plastic where as the new part is brass. did the later models have a different sensor?

   theyve sent the wrong sensor, get it swapped

   its not the wrong sensor im 99 percent sure its the right part its a genuine citroen part and i have seen pics of other vts's thers a blue one that does the dials on the dash and a green one that is part of engine management they both have the same style plugs just different colours where as mine has a different style plug on my green one. could it of been swapped for some reason? why would you change the plug and sensor? surely it would be easyer to just get the right sensor?
