vts/r arb's

as standard..am i right in thinking that both have a 22mm front arb?
but are they both the same size rear arb?
    thanks

yes - 22mm front for definite.

I think the rear arb does change between models - I'll have a quick look.

Get a 24m rear arb from a 106 gti (only around £80 new from Peugeot) - a worthy mod !!

    VTS - 19mm torsion bars, 22m ARB

VTR - some with 17.9mm torsion bars & 18mm ARB (looks to be the ones with drums & the 5door)
    - rest have 19mm torsion bars, 22mm ARB

So yes, the vtr and vts are the same rear setups (99% of the time)

    cheers mate
about the 24mm gti rear arb, have you personally gone from a smaller one to this setup and felt the difference?

Yeh, I went from an 18mm one (iirc, was a Tu3 one from a Westcoast 1.4) to a 24mm one.

With all the rest of the suspension modified (biltstein shocks and front 40mm springs) and the rear felt a lot 'tighter' and more stable when cornering.

To get the most out of them you do need a balanced suspension setup, as opposed to just 'slamming it'.

With a 24mm rear arb and a 'slammed' setup, it'll just be tail happy in the corners if you lift off a little
