egr block up???

    Doesnt anyone know where i can get an egr block up valve? thanks

    It's a fresh air pump, not an EGR. Helps cold start emissions apparently, so you've got nothing to gain by blocking it off. Unless you remove the whole lot inc. the pump itself in the N/S wheel arch and save some weight.

    Ive just fitted new one on mine!! couldnt see the point in removen it.........

    Thanks. Its just because i fitted a 4 2 1 mani so i wanted to tidy the bay up a bit.

    egr valve doesnt make it look un tidy............. just fils in the gaps round your engine......

    it weighs too much, cant see the point in keeping it.

    As above, just a little weight saving if you junk the whole assembly including the pump itself (in N/S wheel arch).

    as asda says, every little helps.

    the whole lot weighs a couple of kgs which is definately more than nothing.

    its a fresh air pump to help with emissions on start up, basically its needless.

    There are two pipes coming off the pump. Does anyone know where the other pipe leads to?

    One pipe is for the connector on top of the exhaust manifold, the other is to get the air - should have a filter on the end?

    do you know where the filter would be?
